Bridgetown
Cannabis at the Barbados cruise port. 14g decriminalized, but no legal retail for cruise passengers.
Cannabis access at Bridgetown
Barbados has decriminalized possession of up to 14 grams ($200 fine, not criminal). However, there’s no legal cannabis retail — no dispensaries, no herb houses for tourists. The medical program is industry-focused, not patient-access focused.
What cruise passengers need to know
- 14g possession is decriminalized — a $200 fine, not a criminal charge
- But there’s nowhere to legally buy — the decriminalization covers possession only
- The Sacramental Cannabis Act protects Rastafarian religious use, but not tourist use
- Public consumption is still an offence
Barbados is in a gray zone — you won’t go to jail for a small amount, but there’s no legal path to get it as a tourist.
