Cannabis access at Nassau
Cannabis is currently illegal for recreational use in the Bahamas. The Cannabis Bill 2024 has been introduced but is not yet law. Until it passes and is implemented, there is no legal cannabis access at Nassau.
Current status
The proposed Cannabis Bill 2024 would decriminalize possession of up to 30 grams ($250 fine), legalize medical use, and establish a Bahamas Cannabis Authority. But it hasn’t passed yet.
What cruise passengers need to know

- Enforcement is active in tourist areas and at the cruise port
- Don’t bring anything from the ship — and don’t try to bring anything back
